Job Description:
We are currently inviting applications for the Akan Interpreter Job in Glasgow. This freelance role is tailored for linguists fluent in Akan and English who want to provide professional interpreting services across healthcare, legal, educational, and community sectors. As an Akan interpreter in Glasgow, you will play an essential role in enabling clear communication between clients and professionals, helping to ensure equitable access to services and fostering inclusivity across all assignments.

Requirements:
• Fluent in Akan and English
• Professional interpreting qualifications (DPSI, CI, NRPSI, or equivalent)
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Up-to-date CV and proof of identity
• Two professional references
• Experience in healthcare, legal, or educational interpreting preferred
Scope of Work:
• Interpret accurately in healthcare, legal, educational, and community environments
• Provide face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting services
• Maintain impartiality, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
• Assist clients and professionals in complex or sensitive scenarios
• Ensure cultural nuance is reflected accurately in all communications
